United offers the majority of its programmes in central Auckland at the Epsom Aquatic Centre and The Olympic Pools and Fitness Centre in Newmarket.  If you are interested in these programmes  then please go to this link  In addition, through affilaitions with Birkenhead Swimming and NZL Swim, United swimmers have programmes on the North Shore at Birkenhead and Northcote, respectively.  If you are interested in the Northshore programmes then please contact:

October 2017 school holidays

The timetable for the October 2017 school holidays is at this link   Over the first week of the holidays NZ Short Course Champs (NZ Springs) will held in Auckland  

Technique and skill sessions

Over the two week holiday period, Monique will be running specific technique and skill sessions at the morning sessions.  Khaled will be working with Monique in the second week after the completion of NZ Springs. The afternoon sessions will be normal training sessions where the techniques and skills will be practiced.  These sessons are available to the Bronze and Silver squad plus any Gold squad swimmers not at NZ Springs.  

Gold squad swimmers are on a break in the second week of the holidays.  But subject to space, Gold squad swimmers who were at NZ Springs can also join the technique and skill sessions in the second week of the holidays.   To assist Monique with the planning of these sessions, if you are interested in attending these sessions, then please complete the google doc at this link

The overall approach for these sessions is summarised as follows:

First week:  Emphasis on the following:

There will be the accompanying drills for the above. These all cover each stroke but broadly need to be looked at as the basis to smooth and effecient swimming.

Second week :  Starts and turns for all 4 strokes and IM, plus all accompanying skills

Please remember to arrive on time, that is, 15 minutes before the pool session starts and bring your gear bag, skipping rope and water bottle
