In addition, all of our coaches have excelled at competitive swimming and understand the commitment and support that swimmers require to achieve their full potential.
Our main facilities are conveniently based in central Auckland and include the use of the 25 metre heated indoor pool at Epsom Aquatic Centre off Gilles Avenue and the 50 metre heated indoor pool at The Olympic Pools and Fitness Center in Newmarket. In addition, United has affiliations with competitive swim programs offered in Northcote and Birkenhead. One of our key objectives is creating a positive and supportive environment that keeps swimmers interested in the club and swimming. Swimming can be a very time intensive sport and it requires the development of a broad range of life skills, including commitment, setting objectives and plans and careful management of the demands of school/university and extracurricular activities.Ă¢€Â¨United understands these challenges and provides a supportive environment in which our swimmers learn important life skills and enjoy the positive affirmation that follows their hard work and commitment and the camaraderie generated from training and competing together as a team.
United is affiliated to the Auckland Swimming Association and Swimming NZ.
